Webinar Offers Tips for Fire Protection During Construction

The American Wood Council is offering a free webinar at 1:55 p.m. ET on July 13 to help home builders and developers keep their jobsites safe from fire damage.

Presenters at this 90-minute webinar will discuss several recent major fires and their causes, the many fire-related hazards that exist on a construction site, and the International Building Code, Fire Code and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements for safeguards during construction.

Builders will also learn about

• Construction industry efforts to reduce fire losses
• A model fire plan for buildings under construction, alteration or demolition
• Existing building materials and construction industry resources for training, education and mitigation
